Dr. Scott Janney is the Chief Development Officer at Bancroft.

He has helped dozens of individuals and businesses make gifts of $1,000,000 or more, including the largest gifts in the histories of three organizations. At AtlantiCare, Scott developed the strategy and directed the effort that raised the system’s first seven-figure gift, a $3,500,000 cash gift toward a capital campaign. At Villanova University, his team of three philanthropic planners increased the previous fiscal year average sixfold to $18,000,000 per year in planned gifts, including a $5,000,000 gift that was the largest gift in the history of the Villanova School of Law. At St. Mary Medical Center, Scott raised a $1,250,000 blended gift during a $5,500,000 campaign.

He has given ten presentations at the National Conference on Planned Giving, published 17 articles in national fundraising magazines, and is a sought-after speaker on comprehensive campaigns, donor motivation, principal gifts, blended gifts and planned gifts regionally and nationally.

Scott earned a Doctorate in Educational Administration and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
